December 2020 Writing and Learning Activity

Well, December has been and gone along with 2020. I was not out and about at all this month as I had lots of writing to catch up on and because of some planned projects next year, really needed to increase my skills on the video creation and editing fronts. I spent some time in December getting to grips with the newer versions of the two video editing software applications I use (VideoPad Video Editor & DaVinci Resolve) and with some new items on the equipment side of things.

Up until now, I have only really carried out minimal processing of my video clips for Pond5 through MPEG Streamclip. This is because I have produced clips for others to use and left all the final editing and colour processing alone so the end-user could process the clips to their requirements. As I am planning to produce some short films myself I really needed to up my game on processing.

On the equipment front, I have upgraded my video rig with some new items and purchased a steadycam to allow for some mobility when shooting.
