The Donna Nook Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire, England not only plays host to one of the largest breeding colonies of Grey Seals (Halichoerus Grypus, which means “hooked-nosed sea pig”) in the UK but is also a bombing range used by the Ministry of Defence. There is a warden presence during November and December, and they provide protection, monitoring, and organised visit services. There is a fenced viewing area that provides good views of the seals and their pups while providing safety for visitors as Grey Seals can be quite aggressive is disturbed or feel threatened.
I have made a couple of visits to the area and managed to capture a few images which can be seen below.
