Grey Seals on Donna Nook

The Donna Nook Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire, England not only plays host to one of the largest breeding colonies of Grey Seals (Halichoerus Grypus, which means “hooked-nosed sea pig”) in the UK but is also a bombing range used by the Ministry of Defence. There is a warden presence during November and December, and they provide protection, monitoring and organised visit services. There is a fenced viewing area which provides good views of the seals and their pups while providing safety for visitors as Grey Seals can be quite aggressive is disturbed or feel threatened.
